A beautiful country wedding over the weekend about half an hour out of Grafton…

A couple of firsts for me this wedding - one of the most notable being avoiding wild emus on the drive to Amee’s house (!) - another was coming face to face with a pet snake inside the house.

After preparations in the family home, it was down to the ceremony location and…get this - Wayne and his father in law had hand-built the jetty over the river specifically for the wedding. Now THAT is dedication…

A couple of gorgeous photo locations both around the property and in town were features of their day, as were their emotional, beautifully written vows.

Guys - thanks for choosing me to be a part of a magic day. Have a fantastic honeymoon and here’s the teaser to give you a taste so far…Wayne’s reaction at getting through his vows are priceless.

Another magic moments clip to share, this time from Ali & Dave’s April wedding in Murwillumbah.

Rather than narrate it with their vows or speeches, I used a portion of Dave’s best man’s speech. His words were so powerful and were a perfect fit for this edit.

I love this clip and really believe it captures the true essence of both Ali & Dave and their day.

As a side note, I also think Ali’s smile has enough energy to power a small city :)

Thanks again guys for allowing me to be a small part of your special day. It was truly an honour.

A beautiful wedding over the weekend with Lisa & Nigel. They’re both in the airline industry so where to celebrate their wedding? Nothing less than the tallest building in Australia - Q1 on the Gold Coast..! I’d shot at Q1 before, but that was in a flight simulator on the ground floor - (hmmm…irony?) so it was great to be able to go up a few floors - all 78 of them in fact.

They both started the day preparing at Q1 before heading to the Braeside chapel at Merrimac for nuptuals. Lisa arrived by limousine but was nearly upstaged by her husband-to-be (who happens to be an airline pilot) arriving with his groomsmen via chartered helicopter. Now that is an entrance.

After a beautiful, intimate ceremony we had some photos at Braeside, over at the beach and then inside Q1 before heading up to the night’s celebrations.

Congratulations on a fantastic wedding guys and have a great time away on your well earned honeymoon!
